On 10 August 2023, in Hpet Taw Yae village (Natmauk township, Magway district, Magway region), the Natmauk Galon PDF attacked about 33 military soldiers on the south side of the village with eleven mines at around 7:30 am. Khit Thit Media reported that there were 18 fatalities and 4 injuries on the military side. Myanmar Pressphoto Agency reported that there were 20 fatalities and over 10 injuries on the military side. Fatalities coded as 18 using the lowest estimate.
