On 7 August 2023, in Pale township (Yinmarbin district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military forces carried out airstrikes, dropping six bombs on three villages (Mon Kyaing, Kyaung Than, and Sin Shin) with a fighter jet at around 11 am. Casualties unknown. The airstrikes forced thousands of civilians to flee homes.
