On 10 August 2023, in Mohnyin town (Mohnyin township, Mohnyin district, Kachin state), the Myanmar military near the Government Technical Institute fired at least 20 rounds of artillery shells toward the southeast direction of the town without any clash occurring. Casualties unknown.
