On 6 August 2023, in Kan Ni village of Myaing township (Pakokku district, Magway region), joint forces of the People's Defense Force - Myaing (PaKaPha), People's Defense Force - Pakokku District Battalion-15, Pakokku Special Task Force, Myay Latt Area Guerrilla Force, and a local PDF fired 140 rounds of heavy artillery shells against the Myanmar military troops and Pyu Saw Htee stationed in the village from 9 pm to 1 am after midnight. Two military soldiers died and five others were injured.
