On 13 August 2023, in the rural area of Anori municipality (Antioquia), members of the FARC dissident group 36th Front detonated an explosive device against members of the military forces, injuring two soldiers, in La Montanita vereda. The soldiers were securing the area prior to the arrival of a PU senator's convoy in the sector for an electoral campaign event. Both soldiers were taken to a hospital for treatment. There were no fatalities.
