Around 10 August 2023 (as reported), in the rural area of Samaniego municipality (Narino), two members of the Awa Indigenous community were injured by the detonation of landmines planted by an unidentified armed group. One of the victims was a teenager. The events happened in El Decio vereda and in the Santa Maria sector. There were no fatalities.
