On 1 August 2023, in Shwebo town (Shwebo township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), the combined force of Buffalo Soldiers Freedom Force 2 and 11, Taw Kyee Kan Pyi Thu Kar Kwei Yae Tatphwe, and Daung Min Aphwe attacked a combined column of 50 military soldiers and police from the Shwebo Police Station and Training Corps (8) who came to remove the anti-military coup protest banner at the Shwebo town entrance gate with three explosives at 11:45 pm, killing two military soldiers. They attacked the military and police column again with five explosives at 12 pm, killing 3 more soldiers.
