On 3 August 2023, near Taunt Ta Lawng village (Lashio township, Lashio district, Shan-North state), a woman and her 10-year-old son stepped on a landmine when they went to the forest to pick mushrooms at around 11 am. The son died on the spot. The explosion site was near the territory of the TNLA Bridge 4 (battalion 436).
