On 24 July 2023, unidentified security forces (coded as SNA) conducted an airstrike targeting Al Shabaab position in Bisiq Cadde village (Buur Hakaba, Bay). The airstrike missed its targets and hit civilian residential areas. Five civilians were killed. Al Shabaab and locals accused US forces of conducting the airstrikes and targeting civilians.
