On 22 July 2023, in Yar Do village (coded as Lo Yar Do) (Thandaunggyi township, Hpa-An district, Kayin state), the military conducted airstrikes with 500-lb bombs in the morning, destroying a Catholic Church and some houses on the Leik Tho - Loikaw road. The Myanmar military forces also carried out airstrikes on villages located in Shan-Karenni-Kayin borders. Casualties unknown. The other source, Khit Thit Media, reported that the event happened on 23 July.
