On 23 July 2023, near Aung Thar Yar village (Ye township, Mawlamyine district, Mon state), a 47 years old local farmer clearing his land stepped on a landmine and was injured in his fingers at around around 5 pm. He was sent to the La Maing Hospital for treatment. The Myanmar military and combined troops of KNLA and PDF had an intense armed clash near the village.
