On 23 July 2023, in Palaw township (Myeik district, Tanintharyi region), Pu Ri Yakha Nyi Naung Sit Kyaung attacked three Myanmar military vehicles transporting more than 100 soldiers departing from IB-285 headquarters based in Palaw township to Ta Mine Taung with remote explosives around 4 pm. One vehicle carrying around 40 soldiers fell into the sewer and 5 soldiers were killed.
