On 23 July 2023, near Shwe Yaung Pya village (Bilin township, Thaton district, Mon state), an unknown armed group dropped seven bombs from a drone onto the construction site to repair the Kyon Eik Chaung bridge at around 4:30 pm. There were no casualties.
