On 25 July 2023, in Wan Kone village (Loikaw township, Loikaw district, Kayah state), the Myanmar military LIB-530 fired artillery rounds into the village without an armed clash occurring at around 8:30 pm. An artillery shell hit a house, injuring four family members including an 80-year-old man, a child and a 35-year-old pregnant woman.
