On 18 July 2023, Russian forces shelled near Klischiivka, Donetsk, with artillery. Russian forces clashed with Ukrainian forces near Klischiivka, and gained a tactical advance in this direction. According to Russian sources, on that day, around 340 Ukrainian soldiers were killed near Bilohorivka, Pervomayske, Nevelske, Marinka, Sieverne, Klischiivka, Siversk, Chasiv Yar, Toretsk and Krasnohorivka (340 fatalities split across 10 locations and coded as 34).
