Rocket event in Idlib, Fuleyfel area, Syrian Arab Republic on Wed 19th July 2023

Regime forces renewed their bombardment on “Putin-Erdogan” area, where they fired artillery shells today, on areas in Al-Fatirah, Fuleyfel and Safouhen in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in the southern countryside of Idlib, Maarat Al-Naasan and San in the eastern countryside of Idlib and frontlines of Basratoun and Taqad in the western countryside of Aleppo. The factions fired rocket missiles on regime positions on the contact frontlines in the western countryside of Aleppo. No causalities were reported. Yesterday, SOHR reported that a regime soldier was shot dead near the frontlines with the factions in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in southern Idlib countryside, by HTS members. The region witnessed significant escalation in the rate of attacks and sneak operations between regime forces and the factions. Since early 2023, SOHR has documented 171 operations in the “de-escalation zone,” including attacks, gunfire by snipers and bombardment, which left 248 combatants and civilians dead. In addition, these operations left over 138 combatants and 56 civilians, including six women and 17 children, injured.
