On 15 July 2023, near Shwe Yaung Pya village of Bilin township (Thaton district, Mon state), joint local People's Defense Forces (PDF) fired four rounds of 79 mm grenades against the Myanmar military troops who were providing security to the reconstruction of Kyon Eik bridge. Casualties unknown.
