On 16 July 2023, in Inn Pat village (Khin-U township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military stationed at the Ye-U Traditional Medicine Hospital fired two rounds of 60mm mortar into the village. The mortar shells hit a school where IDPs were staying, killing a 50-year-old male IDP and injuring another 30-year-old male IDP. Three cattle belonging to IDPs were also killed by the shells. Myanmar Now reported that those killed and injured are a 48-year-old man and a 40-year-old man.
