On 17 July 2023, near Kin village of Madaya township (Pyinoolwin district, Mandalay region), the People's Defense Force - Madaya (PaKaPha) carried out a mine attack against about 50 Myanmar military troops advancing toward Kyaukse Lay village at around 2:23 pm. Casualties unknown.
