On 19 July 2023, between Nyaung Lay Pin and Myit Thar villages (coded as Nyaung Lay Pin) (Monyo township ,Thayarwady district, Bago-West region), a combined force of the Monyo PDF and the Thayarwady District PDF (battalion 3802 - squadron 4) carried out mine attacks against Myanmar military soldiers who came to remove anti-coup posters with three cluster mines at around 10 am. Two military soldiers were killed. The attack was carried out under the operation 'Nan Htike Aung' under the NUG.
