On 20 July 2023, between Taw Pone and Myauk Ywar villages (coded as Taw Pone) (Shwegu township, Bhamo district, Kachin state), the Shwegu PDF attacked a Myanmar military of around 100 troops heading towards Shwegu town with bombs attached to drones at around 9 am. Casualties unknown.
