An unauthorised explosion of mines occurred on beaches in Mykolaiv and Odesa regions.
This was reported on Facebook by the press service of the Southern Operational Command, Ukrinform reports.
"Last night, a mine of an unknown type was brought to the Black Sea coast in Mykolaiv region and spontaneously detonated. This morning, two more mines spontaneously exploded in the water near one of the beaches in Odesa region, the type of which could not be determined," the statement said.
As a result of the mine explosion in Mykolaiv region, several dozen windows in the buildings of a recreational facility were damaged. No people were injured.
As Ukrinform reported, Russia has installed additional sea mines on the approaches to Ukrainian ports.
