On June 28 2019, IS targeted Afghan forces gatherings killing at least 1 civilian was killed and wounding 4 including the head of Kabul's PD8 head by IEDs in the Chaman-e Hozuri area of Kabul city. The civilian worked for the PD8 criminal division. Another blast took place in the same area but no casualties were reported. IS claimed 12 policemen were killed or wounded.
