On 8 July 2023, Russian forces carried out airstrikes and fired artillery near Rivnopil, Donetsk. Russian forces claimed to hit a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group. According to Russian sources, more than 210 Ukrainian servicemen were killed near Robotyne, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Priyutne, Makarivka, Mykilske and Rivnopil (210 fatalities split between 7 events and coded as 30).
