Acting on a tip-off, a Border Security Force (BSF) team from 142 battalion seized a huge cache of Communist Party of India (CPI-Maoist) arms and articles from the Gumphakonda Reserve Forest area under Kalimela Police limits in Malkangiri District of Odisha on July 10, reports The Times of India. BSF officials said the Maoists had dumped the arms and other materials in a forested area near Marigetta village under Bodigetta Panchayat (village level local self-Government institution) for using them against the security personnel during any future attacks. The recovered items include at least 25 electric detonators, 108 gelatin sticks, 20 improvised hand grenades, Maoist uniforms and literature, among others.|
