IED event in Jalisco, Tlajomulco area, Mexico on Tue 11th July 2023

On Tuesday night, personnel from the Jalisco Prosecutor's Office and the police were attacked with explosives in Tlajomulco, a municipality in Jalisco, after venturing down a dirt road to analyze a report of a clandestine grave. The result of the tragedy is six people were killed and 12 injured. [...] A searching mother called the authorities because she had received an anonymous tip about the location of a possible clandestine grave with human remains. Up there, to Flaviano Ramos Norte Street, in Colonia Larios, a van arrived with personnel from the municipal police and the Prosecutor's Office. "It was a trap," Alfaro said. The criminals attacked the police with seven homemade explosives.
