In a devastating incident in Nangarhar, two children have tragically lost their lives due to a landmine explosion, while another child has been injured. According to sources, this unfortunate event took place on Wednesday, July 12th, in the Shadal area of the Spin Ghar district. All the victims belong to the same family. The injured child has been immediately transferred to a hospital for medical treatment, as per reports. No comments have been received so far from local Taliban officials in Nangarhar regarding this incident. Landmines and unexploded ordnance left over from decades of war in Afghanistan have consistently claimed the lives of innocent citizens, especially children. Just last month, a mortar shell explosion in Ghor resulted in the loss of one child’s life and left two others injured.
