On 12 July 2023, an IED planted by unknown gunmen detonated near a QSD-affiliated vehicle in Shanina in Ar Raqqa province, causing material damage. Following the incident, QSD raided an IDP camp near the site of the explosion as part of an investigation, arresting several including women. Casualties unknown.
