On 9 July 2023, in Myaung Thit village of Madaya township (Pyinoolwin district, Mandalay region), a combined force of the Pyinoolwin District PDF (battalion 1) and the Madaya PDF (PaKaPha) carried out drone strikes against about 40 Myanmar military troops stationed in the village. The drone strikes injured two soldiers. They carried out a mine attack again as the Myanmar military troops attempted to leave the village. Five military soldiers died in the mine attack.
