On 10 July 2023, in Kutkai town of Kutkai township (Muse district, Shan-North state), heavy artillery shells fired by the Myanmar military troops landed near a waste disposal area located at the entrance of the town and hit two women riding a motorcycle coming from Mi Yu Lay to Kutkai to shop, injuring one in her thigh at around 10 am.
