On 12 July 2023, in Tet Tu village (Shwebo township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), the military stationed at a school in Pa Laing village fired three artillery rounds at around 2 pm and one of the rounds landed on a house, killing one and injuring 7 other locals, according to DVB. Mizzima reported that one local was killed and another 8 locals were injured. Radio Free Asia reported that one local was killed and another 11 locals including a four-year-old child were injured.
