On 12 July 2023, Israeli military forces presumably hurled a grenade towards three Hezbollah members who came close to the border fence near Boustane village (Tyr), lightly injuring them. Reports claimed that a grenade was hurled towards the Hezbollah members. The Israeli army issued a statement claiming the use of non-lethal weapons to disperse activists without naming Hezbollah directly. Some sources reported that the Israeli statement was released to avert escalation along the border.
