On 8 July 2023, crude bombs left over from an ISF and TMC clash a day earlier (coded separately) exploded at Bhangar town (South 24 Parganas district, WB) when children mistakenly took them as toys on the panchayat (village government) election day. Two children were left injured in the explosion.
