On July 7, at least four persons, including a 17-year-old civilian (teenager), identified as Mayanglambam Ricky, a Manipur Police Commando, identified as Pukham Ranbir, and two Kuki militants were killed in a gunfight that took place in Kwakta under Bishnupur District of Manipur, reports Imphal Free Press. In the incident, three suspected Kuki militants and a civilian sustained bullet injury.
