On 6 July 2023, in Ma Gyi Kan village (Myinmu township, Sagaing district, Sagaing region), a combined force of the Sagaing District PDF battalion 6 - squadron 1, the People's Knight Defense Force - Myinmu, the Dog Killers Defence Force Myinmu and the Doe Be Brothers Force fired around 20 rounds of 81mm homemade mortar at around 60 Myanmar military soldiers from the LID-33 and Pyu Saw Htee members as they were entering the village at around 5:30 pm. A military soldier was severely injured.
