On 6 July 2023, near Myauk Taw Gyi village (Budalin township, Monywa district, Sagaing region), a combined force of the Chindwin Attack Force (battalions 2, 3 and 4), the Monywa District PDF (battalion 13 - squadron 2) and an unidentified local defense force carried out mine attacks against a Myanmar military column of around 50 soldiers who were returning from Ku Taw village to Budalin town at around 4:50 am. Two military soldiers were injured.
