On 4 July 2023, in Kani township (Yinmarbin district, Sagaing region), the Kani People's Defense Force - KLG carried out a drone attack on the Ah Lel Kyun Pyu Saw Htee camp where around 100 military soldiers, policemen and Pyu Saw Htee were stationed at 4 pm. DVB reported that a military soldier was killed while two other soldiers and a Pyu Saw Htee member were injured. Myanmar Pressphoto Agency and Khit Thit Media reported that a military soldier and a Pyu Saw Htee member were injured. Fatalities coded as 0, using the lowest estimate.
