On 3 July 2023, in Ywar Thit Kone village (Salingyi township, Yinmarbin district, Sagaing region), the military fired artillery rounds and small guns at nearby villages while rowing on a boat towards the Monywa harbor at around 8 am and some of the artillery rounds hit and destroyed some houses. A total of 15 houses were destroyed in Salingyi township. Casualties unknown.
