A force of the Rapid Support Forces in (30) vehicles carried out an attack on the city of Bara in the state of North Kordofan on Monday, and the force fired shots in the air and severely beat citizens and looted their property. by the citizens of the city.

Mr. Mahmoud Salem told Radio Dabanga that the attack on the city began at around 8 am and continued until 10 am. He explained that the attack was accompanied by beatings, obscene language and widespread looting of citizens, which led to a large displacement of families in Bara and Faragallah village, adjacent to the oil refinery, to El Obeid city on the day Monday, the attack also led to the closure of the Bara market, except for vegetable sellers and butchers.

He pointed out that members of the Rapid Support Forces attacked a citizen named Khaled Ahmed and tried to take him with them, as some people intervened and he was later released, as he was found in possession of a weapon (pistol).

Mahmoud attributed the attack to the confrontations that took place between the citizens of Bara and the Rapid Support Forces on Sunday, and to the losses suffered by the Rapid Support Forces in its battles with the army west of Bara, referring to the accusations of the Rapid Support Forces against the citizens of causing harassment to its employees who were heading to Khartoum via public transportation.

In the city of El-Obeid in the state of North Kordofan, a cautious calm prevailed on Monday morning, following the armed confrontations between the Rapid Support Forces and the army during the past days.

Activist Ali Ibrahim told Radio Dabanga that the city witnessed cautious calm on Monday morning, except for sporadic gunfire, following clashes between the army and the RSF in the southern neighborhoods of El Obeid and at the RSF posts on the Bara El Obeid road on Sunday.

And Ibrahim explained that the battles caused great damage, especially in the power lines, as a number of western neighborhoods went out of service because some electricity attempts were damaged.

Ibrahim revealed the great suffering of the citizens due to the deterioration of the living situation and the escalation of the prices of essential commodities, pointing to the disappearance of some necessary commodities in the markets, such as soap, and the scarcity of some of them, such as flour.

Ibrahim referred to the security situation and the deterrence of living has become a matter of concern to the authorities, especially after expectations of the failure of the current agricultural season, as large numbers of farmers refrained from farming due to insecurity and the difficulty of obtaining inputs and transferring them to agricultural projects if large areas of agricultural land left the current agricultural season. .

Regarding the conditions of the displaced in El-Obeid, sources confirmed the deterioration of the humanitarian situation and pointed to the looting of humanitarian aid by the Rapid Support Forces on its way to the displaced in the city, where a force attacked relief vehicles loaded with more than 1,770 cartons near El-Obeid airport and seized about 70% of them, and alerted to that The aid leaked into the market and is now being sold to the citizen.
