At least two civilians identified as Waikhom Boicha alias Nilkamal and Konsam Herojit were killed, while four persons sustained injuries, three of whom have been identified as Roshan,Thangjam Samananda, Thongam Abungkhan in a gunbattle between suspected Kuki militants and village defence volunteers atHaraothel Village in Kangpokpi District in Manipur on June 29, reports India Today NE. The incident took place when Kuki militants fired at the volunteers guarding a village in the area using weapons and suspected lathode bombs.
