On 29 June 2023, an IED that was planted by a Zamfara militia led by Dogo Gudali detonated and killed the leader of the militia and some of his fighters. Location coded to Bukuyum (Bukkuyum, Zamfara). The explosive was intended for soldiers, but detonated prematurely and killed the leader, Dogo Gudali, and some of his fighters. Unknown fatalities coded as 3.
