Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres attacked a Police camp with a rocket launcher at Hireli in Gangalur Tehsil (revenue unit) in Bijapur District of Chhattisgarh, reports jantaserishta.com on June 26. Following the attack there was a brief exchange of fire between the Maoists and the Police. The Maoists fled after the Police opened fire in return. Bijapur, Superintendent of Police (SP), Anjaneya Varshney confirmed the Maoist attack on the Police camp.
