On June 21, Police neutralised a cross border drug smuggling module backed by Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) of Pakistan and arrested two operatives, identified as Gurpreet Singh alias Gora alias Armaan Chauhan, and Rohit Singh, from Mohali District in Punjab, reports Tribune India. Two .30 bore pistols along with ten live cartridges were recovered from their possession.The module was actively involved in smuggling of contraband across the Indo-Pakistan border, posing a significant threat to national security,Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Aswani Kapur stated.
