On 19 June 2023, in Thaketa township (Yangon-East district, Yangon region), a bomb explosion occurred at the township Union Election Commission (UEC) office located at the intersection of Shu Khin Thar and Aung Thu Kha streets in No.6 east ward at around 4 pm. The windows of the office were damaged. There were no casualties.
