On 19 June 2023, in Sagaing town of Sagaing township (Sagaing district, Sagaing region), a mine explosion occurred on a road-side in Poo Taing Ward at around 2 pm. The explosion injured a 67-year-old man who was riding a bicycle at around 2 pm. The victim was taken to Sagaing General Hospital for treatment. No group claimed responsibility for the explosion.
