Day 481 of the Russian full-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun. The adversary continues to shell Kharkiv Oblast with mortars, artillery, and air strikes. Current situation in Ukraine Russia launched another attack on Ukraine using missiles and Iranian Shahed combat UAVs. During June 18, the adversary launched 59x air strikes and more than 100x MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. The attacks have killed and wounded civilians, including children. Also, critical infrastructure facilities were damaged, and more than 20x residential buildings and a school were destroyed or damaged. The likelihood of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high. The adversary continues to focus its primary efforts on Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Maryinka axes, with 24x combat engagements occurring. Slobozhanshchyna axis The adversary fired mortar and artillery shells at the settlements of Velyka Pysarivka, Huryiv Kozachok, Veterynarne, Vovchansk, Budarky, Zemlyanky, Bolohivka, Odnorobivka, Udy, Strilecha, Lukyantsi, Vovchanski Khutory in Kharkiv Oblast. The Russian army conducted airstrikes in the Slobozhanshchyna sector on the villages of Budarky and Vesele. Kupiansk axis Russian forces launched an air strike at Kyslivka in Kharkiv region. Krasne Pershe, Fyholivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kupyansk, Kyslivka, and Berestove came under artillery and mortar fire in Kharkiv Oblast. Kharkiv RMA Within the last day, the enemy fired with artillery and mortars at the localities of Kharkiv, Kupyansk, Chuhuiv, Bohodukhiv and Izium districts. As a result of mortar shelling of the village of Lyptsi in Kharkiv district, two private houses were destroyed, a 35-year-old civilian man was wounded and a car was damaged. The shelling damaged a power line, at least 2 houses and outbuildings in Vovchansk, Chuhuiv district. A 65-year-old man was hospitalized in Pershotravneve village of Izium district due to enemy artillery shelling. A fire broke out in Morozova Dolyna, Bohodukhiv districtÕs village in a forest belt outside the settlement due to enemy shelling. The resident of Tokarivka village of Kharkiv district, 52 years old, stepped on a PFM-1 mine and was hospitalized with a moderate injury. PFM-1 anti-personnel mine Kharkiv Oblast is one of the most contaminated with explosive devices, with Kupiansk, Vovchansk, and Izium forestries being the most affected. PFM-1 is one of the most widespread anti-personnel mines that Russians leave in the occupied territories in forests, around roads, trails, parks, and even in the yards of private houses. This land mine is a high-explosive anti-personnel landmine produced by the Soviet Union and Russia. It has several names, including the Green Parrot and the Butterfly Mine. These mines can be scattered from helicopters, combat aircrafts, and mortars. They glide to the ground without detonating and only explode upon contact at a later time.
