On June 15, Meghalaya Police arrested two drug peddlers, identified as Eldikinstar Sohtun and T James Seiminthang, from Nongshiliang under Rynjah Police Station in East Khasi Hills District in Meghalaya, reports The Shillong Times. Arms and ammunition, apart from contraband items were recovered from their possession. The items that were seized include 40 soap cases of heroin weighing 423.09 grams, one country-made revolver, seven rounds of 0.22 live ammunition, six rounds of 38 live ammunition, one used bullet, five rounds of 12 bore live ammunition, one mobile phone, INR 2,000,00, one air gun and five vehicles.
