Unidentified assailants shot dead a Rohingya community leader (sub-Majhi), identified as Noor Hossain Bhutto in 9D block at camp-2 in Kutupalong refugee camp in Ukhiya sub-District of Cox's Bazar District on June 17, reports The Daily Star. "Some 10-12 criminals attacked Noor when he was talking to other Rohingyas in front of his house. They opened fire targeting Noor and left the place immediately," said Saiful Islam, Inspector (investigation) of Ukhiya Police Station. At least 48 Rohingyas, including 16 Majhis, 11(Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army) ARSA militants and a volunteer were killed in clashes or gunfights in the last six months in Rohingya camps in Cox's Bazar.
