On June 13, a civilian (farmer) was shot dead by a local Taliban ‘commander’, identified as Qari Muawiya for attempting to lodge a complaint regarding harassment and intimidation by local Taliban commanders to the group’s Interior Minister, Sirajuddin Haqqani and criticizing the group’s performance in Roy-e Duab District in Samangan Province, reports Hasht-e Subh Daily.
