On 23 June 2020, Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes on regime and pro-Iran militias positions in Kaba Jeb area in the western countryside of Deir-ez-Zor. Several missiles fired by Israeli warplanes were intercepted by the regime's air defenses. Airstrikes on Kaba Jeb and Sokhneh areas along the Sokhneh-Deir-ez-Zor highway resulted in the killing of 5 pro-Iran militia fighters and the injuring of several others. 5 fatalities are split as follows: 2 Kaba Jeb area and 3 Sokhneh area. 2 fatalities.
